The shot opposite was taken in February 1967, opposite John, dressed in green, is Lizzie Bravo. Lizzie remembers that there would be far fewer fans outside of the studios at the end of a session compared to the number waiting to greet The Beatles on their arrival; now and again John would pose for her camera at the top of the steps outside EMI as he left in the early hours of the morning.

The photo of George was taken in March. For the early part of the Pepper sessions George wore a full beard, he trimmed this down to just side-whiskers and moustache around the end of January and after the end of the Pepper sessions the facial hair was narrowed down to a moustache only, just like John and Ringo.

John looking like he may possibly be just a little out of it. He and Paul had just been driven to the studios by Terry Doran, a long time associate from Liverpool. At this evening's session 'With A Little Help From My Friends' and 'Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite' were mixed into mono.
