B41837 – The Beatles 1963 Newcastle Autographed Police Charge Sheet (UK)
£7,500.00Add to basketA part of a police charge sheet that has been autographed by The Beatles in blue ballpoint pen. The autographs were obtained by a policeman who was given the job of driving The Beatles after their performance at the City Hall, Newcastle, England on 23rd November 1963.
The autographs are accompanied by a letter from the previous owner that reads ‘These autographs were obtained on 23rd November 1963 when The Beatles played the City Hall in Newcastle upon Tyne. They are written on the reverse of a police charge sheet. PC326 Harry Peart of Newcastle City Police (now Northumbria Police) who was the Chief Constable’s driver at the time, was given the task of driving the band from the venue to their hotel in a black Mariah police van’.
The sheet measures 19.75cm x 15.5cm (7.75 inches x 6.1 inches). It has been previously folded leaving crease lines and there is a tape stain to the reverse of the document. The condition is very good.
