    A collection of sixteen Jackie magazines dated between June 6th 1964 – May 20th 1967. Jackie was a weekly British magazine for girls published by D C Thomson & Co Ltd. until July 1993 when the magazine ended. They usually contained a mix of fashion and beauty tips, gossip, short stories, photographs and posters of music groups. Several of the magazines feature The Beatles on the front covers along with other artists such as the Rolling Stones, Dave Clark, Graham Nash, Manfred Mann, Elvis, Tom Jones and Mick Jagger. The issues included are as follows:

    1964 – June 6th, July 11th, July 18th, November 7th, December 19th

    1965 – January 23rd, February 20th, March 6th, March 13th, April 10th, May 1st, July 10th, July 24th

    1966 – January 29th – May 20th

    1967 – May 20th

    Each magazine measures 25.5cm x 34.5cm (10 inches x 13.5 inches). There is some wear and small tears around the edges and corners and small creases across some pages. The staples along the spine are rusted in each magazine. The condition is very good.

    A collection of Fabulous magazines from 1964. There are 52 issues in total. The first issue is from 4th January and the last is from 26th December 1965.

    Each issue usually contained around 28 pages. Fabulous was probably the best of the teen pop music magazines from the sixties and seventies. It was packed full of great colour shots of groups and artists from the 60s and 70s – The Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Manfreds, The Walker Brothers, The Monkees and many others. Fabulous ran interviews with the most popular people of the sixties, not only pop stars but TV film and sometimes even football celebrities! The magazine also contained news information, tour dates, readers letters etc.

    Each magazine measures 26cm x 35cm (10.2 inches x 13.7 inches). A handful of issues have notes in pen to the front or back cover pages. The condition varies from very good to very good plus.

    A virtually complete run of New Musical Express (NME) music papers from 1970 to 1979. There are 503 issues in total.

    1970 – There are 52 issues in total. The run begins on the 3rd January and ends on the 26th December.
    1971 – There are 52 issues in total. The run begins on the 2nd January and ends on the 25th December.
    1972 – There are 52 issues in total. The run begins on the 1st January and ends on the 20th December.
    1973 – There are 45 issues in total The run begins on the 6th January and ends with the 10th November. No issues were printed after this date.
    1974 – There are 50 issues in total. The run begins on the 19th January and ends on the 28th December.
    1975 – There are 49 issues in total. The run begins on the 4th January and ends on the 27th December. The 31st May issue is missing
    1976 – There are 49 issues in total. The run begins on the 3rd January and ends on the 25th December.
    1977 – There are 52 issues in total. The run begins on the 1st January and ends with a double issue on the 24th/31st December.
    1978 – There are 52 issues in total. The run begins on the 7th January and ends with a double issue on the 23rd/30th December.
    1979 – There are 51 issues in total. The run begins on the 6th January and ends with a double issue on the 22nd/29th December.
    The following issues of NME weren’t printed because of strikes by the paper’s printers: all issues after the 10th November 1973; 10th and 31st May 1975; 13th March, 28th August and 4th September 1976.
    New Musical Express was one of the most authoritative UK music papers of the sixties. It contained interviews with, and features about, all of the important artists and bands of the sixties plus news, record and concert reviews and great pictures.

    The issues of NME from the early seventies consisted of between 12 and 20 pages. However, after that the number of pages were between 32 and 48 pages plus. The papers measures 33.5cm x 41cm (13 inches x 16 inches). Several issues from each year have either the owner’s name and/or first line of their address written on the front or back cover, normally on the white border.

    The condition is as follows:
    1970 – 5 issues are good, 3 issues are very good minus and the remaining issues are very good.
    1971 – 2 issues are good and the remaining issues are at least very good.
    1972 – 3 issues are fair (2 of these issues have a piece measuring 3 inches x 3 inches missing from each of the front covers), 6 issues are very good minus and the remaining issues are very good.
    1973 – 1 issue is fair (it has a 6 inch split to the spine and a 4 inch tear across the front cover), 1 issue is good and the remaining issues are very good.
    1974 – 1 issue is good and the remaining issues are very good.
    1975 – 7 issues are very good minus and the remaining issues are very good.
    1976 – 8 issues are very good minus and the remaining issues are very good.
    1977 – 6 issues are very good minus and the remaining issues are very good.
    1978 – 6 issues are very good minus and the remaining issues are very good.
    1979 – 7 issues are very good minus and the remaining issues are very good.

    Fabulous changed size in 1969 and measured 22cm x 29.7cm (8.5 inches x 11.8 inches). The condition is as follows: a handful of issues have the owner’s name written on the front or back cover. All of the issues have two ring holes near the spine where they have been kept in a ring binder. The issue for 17th May has the centre pages missing. The remainder are very good plus.

    A collection of 24 issues of the underground newspaper Ink. The first issue is for May 1971 and the last issue is from February 21st 1972.

    Ink was founded by Richard Neville, co-founder of OZ magazine in May 1971. It was Neville’s view that the existing underground press were not meeting the needs for an alternative view. Ink was launched as a weekly publication in May 1971 and changed to a fortnightly release in August of the same year. Due to the paper’s close association with Oz magazine and the Oz trials it ended publication in February 1972.

    Each paper measures 30cm x 42cm (11.8 inches x 16.5 inches). Several issues are in very good minus condition while the remainder are very good.
