The artwork on the front of the card features an image of Queen taken during the video shoot for ‘Radio Ga Ga’. This was also the image that was originally going to be used on the 7 inch single sleeve but it was withdrawn. It is said that a number of these proofs were signed by Freddie Mercury in Germany in the mid-1980s prior to Christmas and they were then sent back to London where they were intended to be made into Christmas cards. However, this project never materialised and the proofs remained in Freddie’s home, Garden Lodge, for over 35 years.
The card measures 52cm x 32cm (20.5 inches x 12 inches). The condition is excellent.
Provenance: the Christmas card was part of lot 2181 from the Freddie Mercury: A World Of His Own, Crazy Little Things 2 sale held at Sotheby’s New Bond Street, London on 13th September 2023. However, the lot was withdrawn by Sotheby’s and purchased by another party, close to Queen, prior to the auction.
This item also comes with a signed certificate of authenticity on Tracks Ltd. letterhead stating that the signed proof was formerly Freddie Mercury’s personal property.B44609 – Gandalf’s Garden 1969 Magazines & Event Programme (UK)

The largest magazine measures 21cm x 33cm (8.2 inches x 12.9 inches). There is some wear and creasing to the edges of all the magazines. The spine of the programme shows signs of wear and there are two hole-punched holes down the left side. The condition overall is very good.

The collection includes a Starbucks shop display with one limited edition Paul McCartney Starbucks card, three other large Starbucks shop displays, a card flyer, small launch day flyer, a magnet with the album art work and a Swedish promotional leaflet. Aldo included is a CD/DVD copy of the album, a 2 CD deluxe edition and a ‘Dance Tonight’ CD single.
The largest display measures 33cm x 51cm (12.9 inches x 20 inches). The smallest flyer measures 8cm x 10cm (3.1 inches x 3.9 inches). There are light marks to the surfaces of some of the displays and small creases around the corners. One has a sticky pad on the reverse. The condition overall is excellent.

The ‘Ziggy 2002’ artwork by Rex Ray was commissioned by Bowie for the 30th anniversary of his album ‘The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars’. This is number 1240 of 2002 limited edition prints each of which has been autographed by the artist in the lower right corner and by David Bowie in the lower left corner. Bowie has signed his name in pencil.
The lithograph measures 28cm x 43cm (11 inches x 17 inches). The condition is near mint.

It is accompanied by a Fleetwood Mac sticker and a stage pass from Fleetwood Mac’s Mirage tour in 1982. The drumhead was previously sold as Lot 524 in the Julien’s Auction Mick Fleetwood And His Fleetwood Mac Archives sale on December 4th, 2022.
The drumhead measures 38cm x 38cm (15 inches x 15 inches). The condition is near mint. The sticker measures 12.5cm x 12.5cm (4.9 inches x 4.9 inches). The stage pass measures 8cm x 11cm (3.1 inches x 4.3 inches). There is light wear to the edges and corners of the pass and sticker. The backing paper of both is intact. The condition is very good plus.

The guitar measures 36cm (14 inches) in length. There is some wear and creasing to the front sticker and a 6cm (2.3 inches) crack on the reverse of the plastic guitar body. There is also minor marking and scratching around the bottom edge of the guitar. The condition is very good minus.
