    An original concert programme for The Beatles tour of Scotland that took place in April 1964. The group only performed two dates during the tour, the first was at the ABC Cinema, Edinburgh on the 29th April and the second was at the Odeon Cinema, Glasgow on the 30th April. The 16-page programme has a blue cover with drawings of The Beatles hair and contains a group and individual biographies, a running order and information about the support acts including Peter Jay and The Jaywalkers and The Remo Four.

    The programme measures 20.4cm x 26.7cm (8 inches x 10.5 inches). The programme has previously been folded vertically leaving a crease line. A previous owner has lightly drawn faces and written the Beatle’s name underneath their respective hairstyle. There is some slight staining and creasing to the edges. The condition is very good minus.

    An original concert programme from the 1963 UK British tour that took place between 2nd February and the 3rd March.  The tour was headlined by Helen Shapiro and the Beatles appeared as one of the support acts. It features a black and white group shot and a brief history of the group.

    The programme measures 21cm x 27cm (8.25 inches x 10.75 inches).  There is some creasing to the covers. The condition is very good plus.

  • B33454 – Otis Redding 1967 Ridglea Country Club Performance Contract (USA)

    An original performance contract for the Otis Redding and the Bar-Kays performance at the Ridglea Country Club, Fort Worth, Texas on the 11th November 1967, shortly before his death on the 10th December 1967. The contract is a ‘contract blank’ from the American Federation of Musicians and ‘Sam Coplin Theatrical Enterprises’ is printed along the top. The contract is dated the 1st September 1967 and has been signed by Otis Redding and Dick Moncrief at the bottom in black pen. Also included is a payment received slip, dated 29th September 1967, which details a payment from Sam Coplin of $2,500 regarding the performance. The contract measures 21.5cm x 27.5cm (8.5 inches x 10.8 inches). There is some staining along the left hand edge and bottom right corner of the contract and to the top left corner of the payment slip. There is some tearing to the top left edge of both items where they have previously been stapled. The condition is very good.

  • B33453 – Paul Weller c.1978/1979 Handwritten Letter (UK)

    A piece of lined notebook paper on which Paul Weller has written a letter to a fan ‘Steve’. It reads:

    ‘Dear Steve,

    Thanks for the letter + paper of which this letter is composed on.

    I thought your stuff was really interested, but I prefered [sic] the ‘two liners’ which to me said more than the whole lyrics/words/whatever.

    I especially like

    (escape in melody

    Reality in words)

    And “peace-cliché” & “violence is a resort”

    They were brilliant lines. All that acid that you’ve taken! – your brain must be like a fucking baked potato!

    Anyway Steve it’s nice to hear from you and I hope your bands still going good luck with that.

    The letter was written circa 1978/1979. It measures 17.7cm x 22.7cm (7 inches x 9 inches). There is a crease line through the centre where the letter was previously folded and a crease to the top left corner. The condition is very good plus.

    An original handbill for the Yoko Ono performance at the Saville Theatre on the 8th December 1967. Yoko performed ‘The Fog Machine: Music of The Mind’ with her film ‘Bottoms (Film No.4) being shown in the men’s room during the concert. The handbill measures 28.9cm x 20.4cm (11.2 inches x 8 inches). The bottom right corner has been torn away. There is creasing to the edges and centre. The condition is very good minus.

    A handbill that was used to promote the Yardbirds performance with Jimmy Page that took place at Stourbridge Town Hall, Stourbridge, England on 20th July 1966. The concert took place shortly after Jimmy Page had joined the group. The handbill measures 12.5cm x 20.25cm (4 inches x 8 inches). The handbill has been folded into four and laid flat, there is a 3.5cm (1.5 inch) tear on the right side horizontal fold. The condition is very good.

    A collection of five black and white contact sheets bearing 131 images of Blind Faith and the crowd during the free concert performance at Hyde Park on the 7th June 1969 taken by Barrie Wentzell. Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Ric Grech and Ginger Baker are all depicted in the images. There are copyright stamps with the year 1991 on the reverse of each. They each measure 20.2cm x 25.3cm (8 inches x 10 inches). There is some discolouration to the edges. The condition is very good.

The date ’26.01.81’, ‘312’ and ‘The Who’ have been handwritten in blue pen in an unknown hand on the page. The autographs were obtained when The Who performed at Sheffield City Hall on the 26th January 1981.  Each page measures 10.5cm x 9cm (4.25 inches x 3.5 inches). The condition is excellent.

The programmes were produced exclusively for only three Granada Cinema venues that took place on the tour which were East Ham 9th March 1963, Bedford 12th March 1963 and Mansfield 26th March 1963.

    The programme measures 17.5cm x 23.75cm (7 inches x 9.5 inches). Names written on the front and back cover and water staining running throughout the programme. The condition is good plus.
