An original 1968 UK Apple Records ‘Our First Four’ press kit. This was Apple’s first ever press kit which was used to promote the launch of The Beatles’ newly formed company Apple Records and their first four releases. The press kit consists of a black folder with four brightly-coloured individual folders containing Apple’s first four 7-inch records: The Beatles – ‘Hey Jude’, Black Dyke Mills Band – ‘Thingumybob’, Mary Hopkin – ‘Those Were The Days’ and Jackie Lomax – ‘Sour Milk Sea’.
The black outer folder has heavy wear and tear to the edges. There is some discolouration to the centre, some tearing to the fold over flaps and scuffing throughout. The condition is poor.
The green Beatles folder is in very good minus condition. There is ring wear to the reverse of the folder, some light areas of creasing and scuffing to the corners. The inside centre of the folder has dirt staining and creasing along the spine.
The vinyl has reacted with the plastic casing resulting in a matt effect over both sides of the record. There are surface marks to both sides of the vinyl. The condition of the record is very good minus.
The red Jackie Lomax folder is in very good minus condition. There is light ring wear to the front and reverse of the folder several areas of creasing.

The yellow Mary Hopkin folder is in very good condition. There is some light ring wear to the reverse of the folder and a couple of areas of light creasing to the edges.

The orange Black Dyke Mills band folder is in very good minus condition. There is a 6cm (2.25 inches) tear to the upper right running throughout. There is some ring wear to the reverse of the folder, several spots of dirt staining and a couple of areas of creasing.
The vinyl has reacted with the plastic casing resulting in a matt effect over both sides of the record. There are some light surface marks on both sides of the records. The condition of the record is very good minus.
The press kit measures 23.5cm x 33.5cm (9.25 inches x 13.25 inches).
