BBC Transcription Service discs are vinyl records which contain shows or series which were broadcast on the BBC. The following is a collection of six original 1973 BBC Transcription Services discs.
Each disc is double sided and features a part of the series titled The Rolling Stones Story with the green and white BBC TS label on each side. The programmes are is narrated by Alexis Korner and features interviews with Brian Mathews, Marshall Chess, Dick Rowe, Georgio Gomelsky, Harold Pendleton (manager of the Marquee Club), Nicky Hopkins, Jimmy Miller, Jimmy Saville, Ian Stewart, Mick Abrahams and, of course, The Rolling Stones. Alexis takes up the story from the early days gigging in Richmond to Altamont. It is interspersed with various tracks from the Rolling Stones career including several from BBC sessions.
The labels are all stamped ‘library’ on both sides. Records and conditions are as follows:

Part 2 – The Rise To Fame (133707-S). Very good plus. (The digit ‘2’ is written in pencil on side 1 and ‘4’ on side 2)
Disc 2
Part 3- The Weekend Starts Here (133709-S). Excellent.
Part 4 – At Their Britanic Majesties’ Behest (133711 –S). Excellent. (The digit ‘6’ is written in pencil on side 1 and ‘8’ on side 2)
Disc 3
Part 5 – Brian Jones, Hyde Park and Altamont (133713-S). Very good plus.
Part 6 – Where To Now (133715-S). Excellent. (The digit ‘9’ is written in pencil on side 1 and ‘11’ on side 2)
Disc 4
Part 7 – A Postscript (137658-S). Excellent.

Each record comes in the original yellow sleeve.
