A complete 9 year run of the New Musical Express (NME) weekly music paper from 1962 – 1970 inclusive. The New Musical Express was perhaps the most authoritative UK music paper of the 60s. It contained interviews with, and features about, all of the important artists and bands of the sixties plus news, record and concert reviews and great pictures. This collection forms a superb chronicle of what undoubtedly will be remembered as the most exciting decade of the 20th century. It is a complete, continuous run of papers from 5th January 1962 to 26th December 1970 inclusive with no missing issues. Each complete year contains either 51 or 52 issues depending on the year end.
The papers each measure 32cm x 41cm (12.5 inches x 16 inches). Some of the issues have a partial address written on either the front or back cover. Many issues are still laid flat with no fold marks. The condition of the papers is as follows: 1962 – issues vary between VG- and VG; 1963 – all issues are VG; 1964 – issues vary between VG and VG -; 1965 – issues vary between VG and VG+; 1966 –issues vary between VG and VG+; 1967 – issues vary between VG and VG+; 1968 – issues vary between VG and VG+; 1969 – issues vary between VG and EX; 1970 – issues vary between VG- and VG+.
