B25662 – Consecutive Run Of 1960s Rave Magazines (UK)
One of the most outstanding UK music magazines of the 1960s. Rave burst onto the scene with its first issue in February 1964 and right from the word go it had a very lively ‘now’ feel to it. The magazine didn’t take either itself or its subject too seriously and yet every month it produced a very readable and enjoyable magazine. One of the most outstanding aspects of the magazine were the superb full colour covers. Perhaps, even better were the numerous exclusive photo sessions it managed to get with the stars throughout its life in the 60s – great colour and black and white photos which you would never see elsewhere. In addition, Rave carried tons of superb interviews and articles on all of the major groups and artists of the 60s. This consecutive run of Rave starts with the no. 1 issue from February 1964 And runs to November 1967, with just two missing issues October and December 1967. There are 45 issues in total. Each magazine measures 27cm x 21.5cm (10.75 inches x 8.5 inches). This is a rare opportunity to obtain a comprehensive run of this publication. The condition of the magazines is as follows: 3 are good condition, 7 are very good minus, 20 are very good and 15 are very good plus. The address of the recipient has been written on a few of the covers. Rave usually contained approximately 60 pages.
