B27722 – The Beatles Yellow Submarine 1968 Animation Drawing (UK)

An original hand drawn sketch from The Beatles 1968 animated film ‘Yellow Submarine’. It features a pencil drawing of a ‘blue meanie’ towards the lower right corner. As part of the production process the animation artist would draw these sketches under the guidance of the project’s director. The next stage would be that the cells used in the actual film would be created based on these pencil sketches.

The sketch is drawn on three-hole punched paper and measures 40.5cm x 31.75cm (16 inches x 12.5 inches). There are four pieces of tape along the upper edge where it was previously attached to another sheet of paper. There is a horizontal crease line running along the bottom edge above the punch holes. The condition is very good minus.
