About this item

A UK Mono black gold pressing of The Beatles debut album Please Please Me that has been autographed on the reverse by both The Beatles and Roy Orbison. Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr have signed in blue ballpoint pen. John Lennon has signed in black ballpoint pen which has faded a little, he has also added the words ‘so what?’ below his name. Roy Orbison has signed in black ballpoint pen adding the word ‘Sincerely’ above his name, his signature has also faded. The original owner has written there name along with a Liverpool address on the top left corner of the sleeve. The Beatles toured the UK with Roy Orbison between 18th May and 9th June 1963. It is highly likely that the album was autographed when the group performed at the Liverpool Empire on 26th May 1963. The sleeve has a tape stains on the top and bottom edges. The condition is good.
