An original 1969 letter sent by Dutch entertainer Rudi Carrell to footballer and actor Hans Boskamp. The letter is dated 28th March 1969 and the beginning loosely translates as “I tried to reach you by telephone but you were in bed with John Lennon”. John and his wife Yoko spent 25th to 31st March 1969 residing in the presidential suite of the Hilton Hotel, Amsterdam for their first Bed-In For Peace. Boskamp worked for Bovema Records and accompanied John & Yoko during their Amsterdam Bed-In. Rudi Carrell has signed the letter in red pen towards the bottom. His management details are printed in the upper right corner. It measures 21cm x 29.25cm (8.25 inches x 11.5 inches). The letter has been folded leaving two horizontal crease lines. There is a 7cm (2.75 inch) tear to one of the creases from the left edge and further smaller tears to the other side. There is also creasing and wear & tear to the corners and edges. The condition is good plus.
