About this item

A sepia tint photographic print of The Beatles taken by the photographer Astrid Kirchherr in November 1960 at Heiligengeistfeld Square in Hamburg, Germany as part of the Beatles’ first actual photo session. The image shows (from left to right) Pete Best, George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Stuart Sutcliffe standing next to a Hugo Haase railway wagon in a funfair. The print has been signed and labelled ‘Artist Proof’ in the lower left corner by Astrid in pencil. It measures 59cm x 41.75cm (23.25 inches x 16.5 inches). There is some light creasing to the bottom edge. The condition is near mint.
