B29255 – John Lennon 1971 Record Mirror Newspaper (UK)

An original 1971 issue of the UK music paper Record Mirror which features a black & white image of John Lennon on the front cover. The 24 page paper includes various features, articles and images of popular artists of the time including a 6-page feature about John Lennon. This is the legendary issue of Record Mirror in which John goes through virtually every Beatles song commenting on who wrote what and who made what contributions “Exclusive Beatles songs: Who Wrote What”. There is also a John Lennon competition printed on page 7 of which the entry form has been cut-out.

The paper measures 30.5cm x 40.5cm (12 inches x 16 inches). There is some wear and tear to the right edge and light wear to the spine. The condition is very good.
