B29608 – Apple The Fool Unused 1960s Clothing Label (UK)

£30.00

An original 1960s unused clothing label. The white label is printed with the words ‘Designed By The Fool’ in blue. These labels were sewn into many of the clothes that were sold through the Apple boutique in Baker Street, London in the late 1960s. Simon Posthuma and Marijke Koger of The Fool also produced art and clothing. Their best known work consisted of items created for the Beatles including the psychedelic clothes worn in the 1967 broadcast for ‘All You Need Is Love’, decorations to both George Harrison and John Lennon’s instruments and of course the giant mural on the sides of the Apple boutique building in Baker Street, London.

The clothing label measures 7cm (2.75 inches) in length. The condition is mint.
