B29855 – Paul McCartney And Wings 1979 Wings Over The World Promotional Poster (USA)

An original 1979 promotional poster for the release of the television film ‘Wings Over The World’ by Paul McCartney’s band Wings. The feature consisted of various clips of the McCartney family and of the band rehearsing, talking to the press and performing. It was shown on CBS in America in March 1979 and on the BBC in the UK in April 1979. The poster is rolled and features an illustration of the band looking up at a fleet of ‘Wings Over The World’ aeroplanes, designed by the airbrush artist Philip Castle.

The poster measures 99cm x 68.5cm (39 inches x 27 inches). There is some blu-tack staining in the corners on the reverse and wear to the edges and corners. The condition is very good.
