B30007 – Joey Dee 1960s Star Club Original Promotional Pennant (Germany)
An original 1960s promotional pennant from the Star Club, Hamburg. The green pennant features a black and white image of Joey Dee next to the Star Club logo and the club’s Hamburg address is printed on the left edge. It is from the collection of Johnny ‘Guitar’ Byrne of Rory Storm & The Hurricanes, the group in which Ringo Starr played the drums before he joined The Beatles. It measures 40.5m x 20.5cm (16 inches x 8 inches). There is creasing to the fly end of the pennant and it has been folded leaving vertical crease lines down the middle. There is also some creasing to the corners on the left edge and a pin hole on each edge. The condition is good.
