B31471 – Strawberry Recording Studios Letterhead Notepaper (UK)


A sheet of letterhead notepaper for Strawberry Recording Studios. It bears the 3 Waterloo Road, Stockport address. The studios were bought by Peter Tattersall, former road manager of Billy J Kramer and The Dakotas, in early 1968. The studios played host to many famous names and several well-known albums were recorded there including Led Zeppelin’s In Through The Out Door, Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures, The Smiths’ self-titled album, The Stone Roses’ Garage Flower, the Happy Mondays’ Bummed along with several albums by the Durutti Column and 10cc. It measures 21.1cm x 29.7cm (8.2 inches x 11.6 inches). There is some wear along the top edge and some marking. The condition is very good.

The item was previously sold as part of lot 289 at the Peter Hook Signature Collection sale at Omega Auctions on 2nd March 2019.
