B32122 – John Lennon & George Harrison 1967 Autographs (UK)

£2,750.00

A piece of white paper that has been signed by John Lennon and George Harrison. John has added the inscription ‘To Patty get up and walk’ above his name and a ‘x’ below it. George Harrison has added the words ‘Hadpy Hafty afftery’ above his name. The autographs come with a letter from the original recipient that reads ‘As avid Beatles fans living in London, we regularly saw them at EMI studios during the recording of Sgt. Pepper. They were always friendly & chatty, with John being my favourite Beatle. In 1967 following a road accident, & unable to walk, a friend arranged for them to sign a get well card for me. John’s ‘get up & walk’ message was in the wake of his ‘more popular than Jesus’ controversy. Unfortunately Paul & Ringo’s messages have all but faded over time’. The paper measures 16cm x 16cm (6.25 inches x 6.25 inches). The condition is very good.
