B33453 – Paul Weller c.1978/1979 Handwritten Letter (UK)
£750.00
A piece of lined notebook paper on which Paul Weller has written a letter to a fan ‘Steve’. It reads:
‘Dear Steve,
Thanks for the letter + paper of which this letter is composed on.
I thought your stuff was really interested, but I prefered [sic] the ‘two liners’ which to me said more than the whole lyrics/words/whatever.
I especially like
(escape in melody
Reality in words)
And “peace-cliché” & “violence is a resort”
They were brilliant lines. All that acid that you’ve taken! – your brain must be like a fucking baked potato!
Anyway Steve it’s nice to hear from you and I hope your bands still going good luck with that.
Best Wishes.
Paul Weller
P.S always write when you want.’
The letter was written circa 1978/1979. It measures 17.7cm x 22.7cm (7 inches x 9 inches). There is a crease line through the centre where the letter was previously folded and a crease to the top left corner. The condition is very good plus.
