B33506 – Disc Music Paper 1961 Collection Bob Wooler Collection (UK)
A collection of Disc music papers from 1961 which were previously owned by Cavern Club compère, Bob Wooler. There are 35 issues in total. The first issue is from the 7th January and the last is from the 30th December.
Disc and Music Echo was one of the top selling music papers of the early 60s. It was more lightweight in style than some of its competitors such as Melody Maker but nevertheless it provided extensive details of all of the current news and record releases. It also contains some fabulous photographs which were not seen elsewhere.
Disc and Music Echo measures 30.5cm x 40.5cm (12 inches x 16 inches). All of the issues are laid flat. 1 issue is torn down the entire length of the spine, the condition is fair. The condition of the remaining issues is as follows: 11 are good and 23 are very good minus.
