B33690 – Johnny Marr 1980s The Smiths Promotional Postcard Geoff Travis Archive (UK)

An original 1980s promotional postcard for The Smiths. It features a black and white image of Johnny Marr taken by Andy Catlin on the front with the Rough Trade address on the reverse.

The postcard comes from the archive of Rough Trade founder, Geoff Travis. Previously a drama teacher, Geoff opened the first Rough Trade record shop in London on the 23^rd February 1976 and founded the record label of the same name two years later in 1978.

The postcard measures 15.3cm x 10.2cm (6 inches x 4 inches). The condition is excellent.
