B33954 – The Who 1965 Blue Moon Club Concert Poster (UK) – £OFFERS

An extremely rare and early concert poster for the Who performance that took place at the Blue Moon Club, Cheltenham, England on 11st August 1965. The poster comes from the estate of bass player Pete Overend Watts (Mott The Hoople) who was performing on the night with support group The Silence. According to the diary of a member of The Silence the drummer from the group Dale Griffin played Keith Moon’s drums, guitarist Robert Fisher blew up the Who’s amp and Pete Overend Watts sat on the neck of Pete Townshend’s guitar and broke it. The Blue Moon was open for only two years between 1965 and 1967. The poster measures 94.5cm x 71.75cm (37.25 inches x 28.25 inches). The condition is very good.
