B34847 – Woodstock Yasgur Farms Dairy New York c.1969 Envelope (USA)


An original envelope from Yasgur Farms Dairy, New York. The farm name and address is printed in the top left corner on the front. It was the farms owner, Max Yasgur, who leased part of his 600 acre farm to the organisers of Woodstock Music and Arts Fair for $10,000. The festival took place between the 15th and 18th August 1969 and the envelope dates to this period. Woodstock saw legendary performances by Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Joan Baez, Santana, Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane and many others. The envelope measures 16.5cm x 9.3cm (6.5 inches x 3.8 inches). The envelope has been sealed and a note has been made on the front in blue pen. The condition is very good.
