Melody Maker was a British weekly music paper, one of the world’s earliest music weeklies, founded in 1926. By the early 1970s Melody Maker was considered the most serious of the pop music weeklies, a musos paper. Melody Maker covered all of the major trends of the seventies – glam rock, progressive rock, punk rock, reggae, post punk and it was the home of some fabulous reportage on the music scene in Britain and abroad.
The issues measure 33cm x 45cm (13 inches x 17.1 inches). One of the issues is torn halfway up the spine of the front cover, the condition is good. One issue with a Beatles cover has a 4cm x 4cm tear on the front cover, the condition is good. One issue has a 5cm tear on the front cover, the condition is very good minus. Of the remainder, 9 issues are very good minus and 40 issues are very good.
