An original invitation for the exhibition ‘Paintings and Drawings by Yoko Ono’ held between the 17th and 30th July 1967 at AG Gallery, New York. This was Yoko’s first solo exhibition in New York and the gallery at which it was held was owned by Fluxus founder, George Maciunas. Text has been stamped onto the reverse of the invitation regarding George’s boycott of the Annual Avant Garde Festival. Yoko’s ‘Painting to be Stepped on’ was exhibited amongst others. Machine folded.
When open the invitation measures 26cm x 20.5cm (10.2 inches x 8 inches). The condition is excellent.
