B36553 – Section 25 1983 Beating Heart FAC 68 Factory Records Single Promotional Poster Peter Hook Collection (UK)

An original promotional poster for the Section 25 single ‘Beating Hearts’ which was released in 1983 on Factory Records with the catalogue number FAC 68. It comes from the collection of Peter Hook and was sold as lot 256 in the Peter Hook Signature Collection which took place at Omega Auctions on the 2nd March 2019. Peter said the following about the poster:

Rescued from the skip too. Section 25 were one of my favourite bands on Factory and one of the few bands to make a profit. Their 1st LP was actually made quite cheaply and sold consistently well. The Cassidy’s, Larry and Vin are lovely people and one of the few regrets I have is fobbing Larry off at the end of our wonderfully chaotic European tour as ‘Section 25 plus Me’ as he said, “I’ve got some lyrics Hooky can we put some bass on them?” He died days later… Sorry mate.’

The poster is framed which measures approximately 51cm x 76cm (20 inches x 30 inches). There is damage to the bottom edge of the frame and there is water damage to the bottom edge of the poster. The condition is good.
