B36813 – The Beatles 1968 Richard Avedon Psychedelic Posters Set (UK)

A complete set of original 1968 psychedelic posters of The Beatles designed by photographer Richard Avedon.  The set was commissioned by the Daily Express newspaper in 1968 and includes 4 individual colour images of John, Paul, George and Ringo.  Also included is the original promotional flyer for the posters.  The posters have been rolled.

The individual posters each measure 48cm x 69cm (19 inches x 27 inches).

The condition is as below.

The John Lennon poster has a 5.2cm tear to the top edge and a 3.5cm tear to the top right corner.  There is adhesive residue to each corner on the reverse and the bottom right corner has been torn away.  There is creasing to the centre and edges of the poster.  The condition is very good minus.

The Paul McCartney poster has pin holes to each corner and there is staining to the top edge.  The condition is very good minus.

The George Harrison poster has a 1.1cm tear to the bottom edge and the top left corner has been torn away. There is creasing to the edges with adhesive residue on each corner on the reverse.  The condition is very good minus.

The Ringo Starr poster has a 1.4cm tear to the bottom edge, a 1cm tear to the top right corner and creasing along the left and right edges.  There is a 1.7 cm tear and a 1.2cm tear to the top edge which have been repaired from the reverse with tape.  The condition is very good minus.
