B36823 – The Beatles Yellow Submarine 1968 Countdown Clown Animation Drawing (UK)

An original hand drawn sketch from The Beatles 1968 animated film ‘Yellow Submarine’. It features one of the Countdown Clowns. As part of the production process the animation artist would draw these sketches, under the guidance of the project’s director. The next stage would be that the cells used in the actual production would be created based on the pencil sketch.

The sketch has been drawn on three-hole punched paper and measures 40.5cm x 31.5cm (16 inches x 12.4 inches). There are annotations along the bottom edge. There is a section of slight discolouration to the centre. The condition is very good.
