B37491 – Maureen Starkey Dupont Laque De Chine c.1980 Pocket Lighter (France)

An original 1980s Dupont Ligne 1 Laque De Chine gas pocket lighter. The lighter is yellow gold plated with black lacquer inlay and two red lacquer Chinese characters. ‘S.T. Dupont de Paris’, ‘Made In France’ and the serial number ‘M4GF12’ are engraved on the bottom along with the Dupont makers mark.

The lighter measures 3.5cm x 5.7cm (1.4 inches x 2.2 inches). There is an indentation to the black lacquer on the front and there are some light scratches due to wear. The condition is very good.

Provenance: the lighter was given by Richard and Maureen Starkey to Kenny Smith who was an employee of both Apple and of Ringo and Maureen.
