£650.00
A pair of lined pages on which Ian McCulloch of Echo and The Bunnymen has handwritten lyrics to two songs circa 1978. The first set reads:
‘Gravity/Having A Good Time
Spinning around
Gravity keeps me down
I keeps my ground and swallow
People come
I count everyone
Blow my hose and then holler:
I’m having a good time
You having a good time too?
Live in a dungeon
You’ve got your buttons undone
You can’t wait until tomorrow’
The second set reads:
‘Read It In Books
You’re talking civilised
There’s tears in my eyes
I don’t sympathise
I’ve seen it in grey skies
And I’ve read it in books
Don’t say you’ve never understood
I said “you’ve got to stop chasing rainbows”
You said “I’m just staying up and anyway I like it when the rain goes”
I’ve seen it in grey skies
And I’ve read it in books
98% water and 2% luck’.
The pages measure 11.5cm x 16.5cm (4.5 inches x 6.5 inches). There is a crease to the bottom left corner of both sheets, otherwise the condition is excellent.
