B37772 – Bill Wyman 1964 Handwritten Letter On Rolling Stones Letterhead (UK)


A piece of Rolling Stones letterhead paper on which Bill Wyman has handwritten a letter to a fan in blue ballpoint pen. The letter is dated 14th May 1964 and it reads:

‘Dear Denise,

Many thanks for the very nice letter I received a while back – sorry to keep you waiting for the reply.

The only Sheffield booking that I know of is at the City Hall on Friday 29th May, so we hope you can make it there.

Glad you enjoyed the last show + we were very pleased you liked the L.P. so much. Hope you continue to like + enjoy us as much in the coming months.

Thanks again, + keep smiling.

On the day that Bill wrote the letter The Rolling Stones performed at St. George Hall, Bradford, Yorkshire, England. The letter measures 17.5cm x 20cm (6.9 inches x 7.9 inches). The bottom left corner has been cut from the letter, it has been folded, wear and tear to folds, paper is dirty in places. The condition is good.
