B38520 – Marc Bolan 1969 Handwritten Letter & Facial Doodle Sent To John Peel (USA)

A one page letter in the hand of Marc Bolan that was sent to the BBC disc jockey John Peel during T-Rex’s first American tour in 1969. Marc has signed the letter at the end at he has drawn a facial doodle next to his name. The letter reads:
‘to John things look very nice, were just about to Fly to San Francisco + do the First gig. Their playing the Commercial on all the stations. Its everso funny here I’ll write a lot, both June + I miss you very much bob also sends his love x Marc’.
The letter is written on Bob Kransnow letterhead paper, Krasnow founded Blue Thumb Records, the label that T-Rex were signed to in the USA. The handbill comes from the collection of the British BBC radio disc jockey John Peel. The letter measures 14cm x 21.5 (5.5 inches x 8.5 inches). The condition is excellent.
