B38740 – Joy Division Unknown Pleasures FACT10 Promo Poster (UK)

An extremely rare original 1979 UK promotional poster for the release of the debut album ‘Unknown Pleasures’ by Joy Division. Designer Peter Saville based the album cover art from which the poster is derived on an illustration of a pulsar from the Cambridge Encyclopaedia of Astronomy. It measures 73cm x 96cm (28.75 inches x 37.75). There is creasing over the surface of the poster. It has been folded in four leaving heavy horizontal and vertical crease lines. There is wear and tear to the edges and the corners all have holes or sections missing. The upper right corner has the largest section missing. It measures approximately 7cm x 4cm (2.75 inches x 1.5 inches). Overall the condition is good plus.
