A piece of Grand Hotel, Torquay letterhead paper on which Bill Wyman has handwritten a letter in blue felt tipped pen.
The letter is dated the 8th October 1964 and reads:
‘Dear Sheila + Anne, many thanks for your nice letter that I’ve finally found the time to reply to – please forgive the delay.
Glad you both hate Dave Clark. Stephen’s eyes are brown + he is 3ft 2ins he is learning to talk very well now + say’s sentences all the time.
Hope you enjoyed the show a lot, + please look out for our new record on 13th Nove, I think. Please find enclosed the autographs you requested.

The Rolling Stones stayed in the Grand Hotel, Torquay between the 25th and 29th August 1964 when the Stones were performing a series of concerts in the area including a performance at Torquay Town Hall on the 29th August 1964. Bill must have kept the letterhead after leaving the hotel to reply to fan letters. In the letter Bill mentions his son Stephen who would have been two years old at the time. Bill also mentions the latest Rolling Stones record, ‘Little Red Rooster’ released on the 13th November 1964. The letter measures 16.5cm x 20.25cm (6.5 inches x 8 inches). The condition is excellent.
