B39001 – The Rolling Stones 1964 Sheffield Concert Handbill Bill Wyman Collection (UK)

An original concert handbill formerly the property of Bill Wyman. The handbill is from the All Stars ’64 concert at the City Hall, Sheffield. The concert took place on 27th February 1964. The tour featured The Rolling Stones as well as John Leyton, Mike Sarne, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Don Fireball Spencer, Billy Boyle, Mike Berry, Billie Davis and Jet Harris. Bill commented that the Stones felt they should have had higher billing and someone therefore scratched out John Leyton’s face in protest.
It measures 14.5cm x 24.5cm (5.75 inches x 9.5 inches). The top and bottom edges have been trimmed slightly. There is some tape staining along the left and right edges. The handbill has previously been folded leaving some light horizontal crease lines. The condition is very good minus.
The item was previously from the collection of Bill Wyman and Sticky Fingers Restaurant and sold at Julien’s Music Icons sale in May 2022.
