David Bowie’s first ever book. His sharp, often humorous text discusses the origins of the Ziggy Stardust stage persona, comments on Mick Rock’s photographs and gives unprecedented insight into Ziggy’s stratospheric two-year career. The 346 page book is printed on 14 paper stocks including clear acetate, trace leaves and a variety of colours and textures. It is quarter bound in blue leather with a photograph foiled on the front and rear and gold/silver blocking. The book is housed in a solander box bearing the clothing pattern on the outfit worn by David on the cover of his ‘The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust’ album. This is No. 1746 of 2150 collector edition copies, each signed by David Bowie and Mick Rock. There is some markings to the base of the box with some marking and very slight peeling to the sticker on the front of the box. The condition of the box is very good. The condition of the book is excellent.
