B40377 – Disc Weekly Music Papers 1963 Collection (UK)

An almost complete run of Disc Weekly music papers from 1963. There are 50 issues. The first issue is from the 5th January and the last is from the 28th December. The run is missing issues Feb 9th, April 27th and May 4th.

Disc was one of the top selling music papers of the early 60s. It was more lightweight in style than some of its competitors such as Melody Maker but nevertheless it provided extensive details of all of the current news and record releases. It also contains some fabulous photographs which were not seen elsewhere.

Disc measures 30.5cm x 40.5cm (12 inches x 16 inches) and has approximately 12 pages per issue. The previous owner’s name and/or first line of their address is written on a handful of issue on the front cover. All of the issues are laid flat. The condition of the issues is as follows: several are very god minus, several are very good plus and the remainder are very good.
