B40554 – The Beatles 1963 Autographs Blackburn (UK) – Price On Request
A red 1960s autograph book containing a complete set of Beatles autographs in blue ballpoint pen. Paul McCartney has added the group name ‘Beatles’ above his signature. The autographs were obtained at King George’s Hall, Blackburn, Lancashire, England on 9th June 1963, this was the final date in The Beatles UK tour with Roy Orbison. The book also contains the autographs of Roy Orbison, Gerry Marsden, Freddie And The Dreamers, Billy J. Kramer, the 4 Pennies and Cilla Black. The town of Blackburn would go on to be immortalised in the 1967 Beatles Song ‘A Day In Life’ with the lyric ‘4000 holes in Blackburn Lancashire’, the track appeared on the group’s ground breaking ‘Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band’.
The page on which The Beatles have signed measures 13cm x 10cm (5.1 inches x 4 inches). The condition is excellent.
