B40653 – Tetsu Yamauchi Faces Free Thank you Note To Tony Zemaitis + Postcard (UK)

A large thank you note handwritten by Tetsu Yamauchi, (Bass guitarist with The Faces and Free), to Tony Zemaitis.  It is dated 29th November 1998 and reads as follows:

‘To Tony Z, thank you for my bass, this bottle will be for any things, the world is small isn’t it, Love Tetsu’  The center of the page has some ink art on it.  The page measures 40.5cm x 32cm (16 inches x 12.5 inches).  There is a vertical crease running down the centre and numerous smaller lighter creases.  The condition is very good.  The letter also comes with a handwritten postcard from Tetsu that reads:

‘Dear Tony,

Merry Christmas + Happy New Year.  It was really nice talking to you!!

Tetsu’.

The postcard measures 10cm x 14.5cm (4 inches x 5.75 inches).  The condition is excellent.

The lot also comes with 2 colour images of Tetsu playing his metal front Z bass guitar.

 

The letter, postcard and images come from the estate of Tony Zemaitis, the world famous luthier and friend of many of the most famous guitarists in the world, Zemaitis made guitars for artists such as George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Paul McCartney, Mary Hopkin, Marc Bolan, Donovan, Bob Dylan, David Gilmour, Peter Frampton, Ronnie Wood and Ronnie Lane.
