B41238 – The Beatles 1960s USA Cartoon Animation Drawing

£1,250.00

An original hand drawn sketch from ‘The Beatles’ 1960s animated television series. The series which ran from 1965 to 1969 was a historical milestone as the first weekly show to feature animated versions of real people. The sketch was drawn by animator Dennis Hunt who in addition to working on this cartoon series also worked on the Beatles Yellow Submarine animated film. It features a pencil drawing of all four Beatles with some animation notes. As part of the production process the animation artist would draw these sketches, under the guidance of the project’s director. The next stage would be that the cells used in the actual film or show would be created based on these pencil sketches.

The sketch is drawn on three-hole punched paper and measures 33cm x 26.5cm (13 inches x 10.5 inches).  There is some light creasing.  The condition is very good.  It comes with a photocopy of a letter from Dennis Hunt confirming its authenticity.
