B41284 – Paul McCartney 1973 Autographed Red Rose Speedway Tour Programme (UK)

A Paul McCartney and Wings 1973 ‘Red Rose Speedway’ UK tour programme that has been autographed on the back cover by Paul McCartney in blue ballpoint pen. The autograph was obtained at the City Hall, Newcastle, England on 10^th July 1973. The show had originally been booked for 23^rd May 1973 but was re-scheduled to 10^th July 1973.

The autographs come with a copy of a letter from the original recipient that reads as follows:

‘I was at the Paul + Wings concert per ticket stub 23^rd May 1973 the 3^rd row from the stage. Before the concert I spoke to Paul & Denny Seiwell (Denny’s Birthday). They told us after the concert to go round to the back of City Hall (stage door) we talked to the coach driver and he arranged to look on the bus & get autographs from Paul which we did. They were all very friendly (drunk) and signed my programmes, also gave me a poster + frisbee.’

The programme measures 21cm x 29.5cm (8.25 inches x 11.7 inches). The condition is very good plus.
