An original souvenir programme from the Royal Variety Performance which took place at the Prince Of Wales Theatre, London on 4th November 1963. The Beatles appeared seventh on a 19-act bill in front of Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen Mother, Princess Margaret and Lord Snowden. They performed ‘From Me To You’, ‘She Loves You’, ‘Till There Was You’ and ‘Twist and Shout’. Before starting the final song John uttered the now-famous words ‘For our last number I’d like to ask your help. The people in the cheap seats clap your hands and the rest of you, if you’d just rattle your jewellery’.
The programme measures 21cm x 29.5cm (8.25 inches x 11.75 inches). There is some discoloration to the cover, a small stain to the reverse cover and some light creasing to the edges. There are foxing spots on the centre pages. The condition of the cover is very good minus. The condition of the inside pages is very good to excellent.
