B42893 – Elton John Owned Gianni Versace Black Silk Shirt (USA)

A black silk chiffon dress shirt decorated with rows of bugle beads which was formerly the property of Elton John.  Elton wore a similar shirt to An Evening with Hillary Clinton in 2000. There is a Gianni Versace label present with a 54 size label.

The shirt measures 57cm (22.5 inches) from armpit to armpit and

Provenance: the shirt was purchased at Out of the Closet 2009, a pop-up event in which Elton John and David Furnish sold garments from their wardrobe to raise money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.  It was then resold as lot 445 at Juliens Auctions, 18^th May 2019.  It comes with a lot card from Julien’s stating the above.
