B43221 – The Beatles Related 1960s JAL Airlines Happi Coat (Japan)

A vintage 1960s JAL Japanese Airlines happi coat similar to the ones that The Beatles wore on their arrival in Japan on June 1st 1966. A happi is a traditional tube-sleeved coat usually worn only during festivals or public occasions. The design or text on the happi relates to the festival or occasion.

The coat measures 63cm (24.8 inches) from armpit to armpit and 92cm (36.2 inches) from the collar to the hem. No size label present. There is some small brown staining spots to the front, back and sleeves.  The condition is very good.
