B44748 – The Smiths Futurama Festival 1983 Handbill & Ticket (UK)

An original concert handbill and ticket from the Futurama Festival held at the Queens Hall, Leeds on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of September 1983. The festival featured performances by The Bay City Rollers, John Cooper Clarke, Killing Joke, New Model Army, Billy Bragg and many more. The Smiths were also scheduled to play but refused to go on before The Bay City Rollers as they wanted the headline spot. The organisers refused and the group pulled out of the festival at the last minute. Also included is a ticket is for the 18th September.

The handbill measures 15cm x 21cm (6 inches x 8.25 inches). It has been folded leaving crease lines. There are several small pen marks and various areas of staining. The condition is good plus.  The ticket stub measures 7cm x 8.5cm (2.75 inches x 3.25 inches). There is a small section missing from the lower left corner. The condition is very good.
