B44807 – John And Cythia Lennon Autographed In His Own Write 1964 (UK)

A UK 1964 second edition hardback copy of John Lennon’s book ‘In His Own Write’ autographed on the first inside page by John Lennon in black ballpoint pen and Cynthia Lennon in blue ballpoint pen.  Cynthia has added ‘Best Wishes’ above her name.

The book measures 14cm x 18cm (5.5 inches x 7 inches).  There are a number of loose pages inside the book.  The condition is very good minus.

Provenance: accompanied by a letter from the original recipient that reads:

‘I grew up in London during the days of Beatlemania and the swinging 60s – very exciting time to be living in London.  I was a real fan and would go to Wimpole Street trying to see Paul and Jane.  The morning I was lucky enough to get my book signed was very early and still dark, a rumour spread among the crowd that the other Beatles were staying in Mayfair – off we dashed!! That was my lucky day both John and Cynthia managed to sign my book in the rush for their cars.’
