Provenance: accompanied by a letter from the original recipient that reads:
‘‘Birmingham, being the second city in UK, I was lucky enough to see all the prominent groups who played there. They usually stayed in the Albany Hotel where my mother worked. All my memorabilia was collected by the 13/14 year old me. I’m now 74. At breakfast she would get the various stars autographs for me. Firstly, on Albany Hotel cards and then in the autograph book that I was subsequently given. The loose autographs were stuck in by me into this book. I saw the Beatles concerts (in Birmingham) on several occasions and personally obtained the ticket stub autograph myself. As I was underage at the time Paul could not marry me even though if he had asked I would have willingly!’
