An original handwritten letter and original mailing envelope from Paul McCartney’s step mother Angie McCartney. The letter is addressed to saxophonist Howie Casie and reads as follows:
‘Dear Howie, You don’t know me – I’m Paul’s step-mum – but a young musician we know called Dave McCarthy has written from Canada and asks me to pass on his pal’s address to you. I will put it on the other side. I also see Adrian Wilkinson quite often – his wife, Sue, runs the model agency that my daughter Ruth works for. He sends his regards.

Howie was a saxophonist who appeared on numerous Wings tracks including ‘Jet’, ‘Bluebird’ and ‘Mrs Vanderbilt’. He also accompanied the group on their sixty six date 1975/1976 Wings Over The World tour and subsequently appeared on the live album from the tour. Howie played on the ‘Wings At The Speed Of Sound’, ‘Back To The Egg’ albums and was part of the Rockestra on the ‘Concerts For The People Of Kampuchea’ albums.
The letter measures 14cm x 18cm (5.5 inches x 7 inches). The condition is excellent.
