A collection of items from the 1960s relating to Brian Jones and his girlfriend Linda Lawrence. It consists of the items listed below.
A collection of receipts from various garages and filling stations from 1964. Two receipts are undated.
A hotel leaflet for the Grand Hotel, Birmingham. The Rolling Stones performed at the hotel a number of times.
A payment book for Pyle Bros. Limited which details payments made towards a purchase made by Linda’s mother, Violet.
An envelope bearing Brian’s address postmarked London, 3rd July 1964. It bears a Eric Easton Ltd. stamp.
A typed letter on Decca Record Company Limited letterhead dated the 11th March 1964 to Eric Easton. Attached is a handwritten letter sent by a fan requesting information about the harmonica Brian used to play ‘Not Fade Away’.
Four handwritten letters from Linda Lawrence to her parents. Accompanied by an envelope which is postmarked Los Angeles 1966. The letters make several references to Linda and Brian’s child, Julian. After her relationship with Brian ended, Linda spent several years in California before returning to the UK.

Provenance: originally part of a large collection of ephemera housed in a huge metal trunk which was formerly the property of Brian Jones. The trunk was left behind in a house shared by Brian Jones and his then girlfriend Linda Lawrence. The collection of ephemera consisted of hundreds of letters from fans addressed to Brian Jones and various other correspondence concerning the Rolling Stones guitarist etc.

The largest item measures 20.3cm x 25.3cm (8 inches x 10 inches). There is wear to all of the items. The condition is very good.
